model/actor headshots

modeling headshots and acting headshots are a good way of showing a model or actor's look like and are a must have on any professional modeling portfolio. is primarily a head over shoulder photograph (head shot) with little background. the demand for head shots has grown out of the need for modeling agencies and casting directors to have a visual idea what a model or actor looks like. as opposed to a portrait which is designed for personal use, a headshot should use as little artifice as possible. some modeling agencies will even only request a snapshot or 'polaroid' with no or little make up . whether for acting or modeling the headshot should show that you have the 'look', which in fashion represents a certain type that editors are looking for, and in movies the role that the actor is being cast for. so it should be as true a representation as possible. so whether in studio or on location, the focus should be on capturing the look but also, specially in actors' headshots the ability to show many different looks. of course you also have corporate headshots, dating headshots, etc...
